Madison County Health Care System is expanding mental health services.
We are proud to announce the addition of Dr. Usha Chhatlani, MD, a board-certified psychiatrist, to our team of dedicated healthcare professionals.
Dr. Chhatlani brings over a decade of experience to the clinic. She received her medical degree from N.K.P Salve Institute of Medical Sciences in India and completed her residency at the University of Iowa Psychiatry program. Board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Dr. Chhatlani previously served as an inpatient psychiatrist and section chief at Broadlawns.

By bringing Dr. Chhatlani on board, we’re taking immediate action to address this critical gap in care and ensure our residents have access to the mental health support they desperately need and deserve.”
Dr. Chhatlani offers a wide range of services, including:
- Psychiatric care for adults, geriatrics, and adolescents (13+)
- Treatment for conditions such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorders, anxiety, ADHD, substance-related disorders and more
- Addiction treatment and acute care/ER consultations
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and integrative psychiatry approaches
This expansion of mental health services is part of our ongoing commitment to address the growing demand for mental health care, particularly in rural areas. By enhancing access to quality psychiatric services, we aim to reduce the burden on emergency services, improve overall community health, and support the well-being of individuals and families throughout Madison County.
