Board of Trustees

The Madison County Health Care System Board of Trustees is comprised of seven dedicated individuals elected by the public for four-year staggered terms. They are governed by the Iowa Code and serve without monetary compensation.  The Board is responsible for setting hospital policy and overseeing all operations of the hospital.  Trustees volunteer their time and talents because they know how important Madison County Health Care System is to the quality of life of area residents.  The Board meetings are open to the public, and are usually held at 7:00 AM on the fourth Thursday of each month in the Chesnut Building’s Board Room. Exceptions include August and November (no meetings) and December (first Thursday). For the current schedule, please contact the hospital administration office at (515) 462-2373.

Six dedicated Board of Trustees members are board certified through the Iowa Hospital Association. With these MCHCS Board members certified, IHA awarded Madison County Health Care System as a Two-Star Board for the 2023 year.
